I Am Azanian

A heritage archive of South African clan names, izithakazelo and totems. We rebuilt the content and design so the site could qualify for Google AdSense.

The challenge

Google AdSense had rejected the site for "low value content": the pages were thin, repeated each other and relied on heavy page builders.

What we built

We rebuilt the site on the WordPress block editor and rewrote the clan and people pages into in-depth, well-sourced articles. Duplicate posts were merged using 301 redirects.

The result

Around 20 pages rebuilt and expanded
Duplicate content cleaned up with 301 redirects
Faster pages with the heavy page builders removed
